Ecumenical Campaign 2024: Less is more – no matter how small the contribution
We can do it! This positive and motivating message from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change brings hope despite the dismal facts, but demands action. The Ecumenical Campaign 2024 appeals to everyone to do their bit for climate justice, no mater how small.
The message is simple and well known: Less is more. Your own experiences in Lent are a central message for Climate Justice. Less consumption of resources, less energy usage and less food waste will reduce our CO2 emissions. The result is more security and better chances for the future, particularly for people of the global south.
Time is running out! We therefore need new ideas and contributions to draw more people in. For example; travelling by bicycle to work reduces your personal ecological footprint. More bicycle racks at the workplace will encourage others to reduce their own personal ecological footprint. The perspective changes from “me” to “us” and reveals what we can achieve by working together. The attainable and reachable become central and motivate us to take action.
We are pleased to be able to make material available for this year’s Ecumenical Campaign. Help us to change things for the better and become involved in the fight for climate change and secure the preservation of creation.
The Ecumenical Campaign is once again the most important source of funding for Partner sein and only through your regular support can we generate the monies needed for our projects in Africa and Asia. We respectably ask you to continue to support us in 2024, especially in the name of those people we support in development countries. Partner sein and the recipients of aid thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support.
