Ecumenical Campaign 2025
Hunger devours the future!
Something is missing! That's right, a piece of the picture on the campaign poster has been bitten off. This missing bite represents the lack of future prospects for people in the Global South: because hunger and hardship prevent them from realising their potential and dreams.
Together with Fastenaktion and HEKS/EPER, Partner sein is launching a new three-year cycle on the topic of combating hunger with the Ecumenical Campaign 2025. In the first year, we will show that enough calories are produced worldwide to feed everyone. Despite this, one in ten people suffer from hunger and one in three people are undernourished.
Hunger has consequences. Especially in children, pregnant and breastfeeding women, periods of hunger can lead to long-term impairments. Anaemia or an unbalanced diet lead to reduced performance, mental and physical developmental delays, loss of concentration, weakening of the immune system, an increase in infectious diseases and even fatal illnesses.
In their projects,Partner sein, Fastenaktion and HEKS/EPER are committed to ensuring that all people have access to sufficient, healthy and culturally appropriate food. This also includes knowledge about nutrition, planning food production and, as a result, changing the food system to local and small-scale cycles.
We are pleased to make the ideas and materials of the Ecumenical Campaign available to you. Join us in shaping and advocating for more care in dealing with food and raising awareness of the fact that all people have a right to food and good prospects for the future.
We look forward to preparing the Ecumenical Campaign together with you and thank you very much for your commitment to a world without hunger.
